Catalyst Guild Rules

1. Do NOT ninja AFK in raids. This guild was built with the goal of having efficient raiding. During a 3-hour raid night we will typically take a 10-15 minute break at a convenient point. It is both disrespectful and unfair to the rest of the raid when everyone has to wait on you. I do understand that there are some urgent matters that may pull you away from the computer, if that happens just whisper and let me know, and then put me on follow. I do not want to see people saying brb in raid chat. This usually results in a chain reaction of AFK with staggered return times. If you foresee having to leave early or having to AFK at some point during the raid, let me know beforehand so I can plan accordingly.

2. Bring your A-game. Come to every raid with enough personal food/flasks/potions to last you the entire 3-hour duration. I will always come prepared with these and I expect each raider to as well. Also come to each raid with all of your gear enchanted/gemmed. I do not expect you to put epic gems in blue items or berserking on de-raged waraxed, but you better have some enchant or gem on each slot/socket. I will also be posting boss strategies on the forums which I will expect you to read at some point before we engage that boss. Having at least some prior knowledge greatly increases the learning curve.

3. Treat each other and the community with respect. The officers will do their best to keep drama minimized as much as possible. Players who have the drama cloud following them will be warned or removed depending on how serious it is. If a guild mate is being disrespectful to you or someone else in the zul'jin community, bring it to an officer's attention. We will try to get it resolved.

4. Be active in your forum use. The forums here will be instrumental in getting vital information out to the entire guild. Strategies, tips, and hints from various sources will be here for your use. Post in the AFG forums if you feel you are going to be late or are going to miss a raid night. Try to contribute your insight and ideas wherever you want your opinion to be heard. If you feel like the strategies we are using in our raiding aren't the best, spark some conversation in the forums.

5. Understand the promotion structure. After filling out an application and being accepted into a trial position in the guild, you must remain in the guild for at least 2 weeks of evaluation before being considered a promotion to Member. In addition, to coincide with the active forum use rule, you must make at least 10 posts in the forums. Don't just post randomly and without thought, I can tell if you are actually trying to be helpful or if you are just trying to meet the quota.

6. Have fun. This is a game and we are here to enjoy ourselves. When we are raiding farmed content, I don't mind when everyone talks and jokes around on vent. However, on progress fights, and even farm nights where at least one person doesn't know the encounters, I will kindly ask everyone to keep vent clear. Guild chat is rated mature, however if you find that someone is saying is offensive, just speak up and it should end there.
